Once upon a time, there was a small and beautiful forest nearby a large city. The forest was peaceful and many species of plants and animals lived there. The animals lived peacefully and happily in the forest. A small river was the only border between the city and the forest.
One clear morning, two birds flew in a hurry towards the forest. The birds said to the animals, “There is important news. The humans are trying to expand their settlement area and destroy the forest! We saw many humans with construction tools and machines crossing the river and talking about destroying the forest.’’
The animals were frightened after hearing the news. The lion said, ‘I heard that the humans have very powerful machines which can even kill huge animals.’’
The snake came crawling and said in a small voice, ‘I have seen them torturing the animals and killing them to get different raw materials. The humans don’t even give enough food and facilities to the animals.’’
There was dead silence. Then the animals started gossiping with each other and all of them were afraid as they couldn’t match humans at all. So, they started losing hope. Then suddenly, a big flash of light appeared in front of them. A woman appeared wearing a bright, colorful dress and beautiful jewels. Some bright rays of light were shining behind her body. She was the Goddess of Nature. She said with a soft voice, ‘My dear children of nature! I got news that the humans are trying to destroy the forest. They must stop doing that. They need to learn some important lessons. Don’t be afraid of the humans and don’t lose hope! You all have a very special hidden strength inside you.’’
The animals became confused and asked, “What hidden strength do we have?’’ She replied, ‘You all have hidden strength that reacts upon your courage, determination and faith in the abilities inside you. So don’t lose hope and unleash your hidden strength. Now you must go and protect your home.’’
After hearing this, the animals started to gain courage, like a fire was burning inside them. Then suddenly, all the animals started to chant in unison, ‘Yes, we will protect our home at any cost.’’ After that they all charged at high speed towards the river and started attacking the cruel humans. The humans were taken completely by surprise and they had no time to load and use their weapons. They were nothing without their weapons.
So, the large animals charged from the front and injured many humans while the smaller, more nimble, animals launched an attack from the flanks and together they defeated the humans. All the humans routed and ran for their dear lives. The animals became very happy and the humans didn’t ever dare to attack the forest again. After that all the animals and plants lived peacefully.
